Aiming to reduce the use of natural resources by promoting the reuse and recycling of demolition materials
We see the raw materials of the future in demolition materials. We believe we can significantly reduce the consumption of natural resources by making smart choices again and again in our everyday work on site. Clear and effective practices support the daily work of all our staff and make responsible choices a natural part of everything we do.
99.12%
Our recovery rate in 2025 was 99.12%, which means that only 0.88% of our demolition materials went to final disposal.
9,944.64
Our carbon footprint (t CO₂e) covers direct emissions (Scope 1), indirect emissions from purchased energy (Scope 2) and indirect emissions in our value chain (Scope 3).
22,626.26
The reuse and recycling of demolition materials generated avoided emissions (t CO2e). Our net impact is therefore -12,681.62 t CO2e, which means that recovering materials avoids more emissions than our operations produce.
Our aim is to promote the recycling of materials and to reduce the use of natural resources. We comply with the construction industry’s laws, decrees and environmental protection regulations, but we see them only as the foundation for what we do.
In our everyday work, we aim to go beyond statutory requirements and to develop solutions that reduce environmental impact and support the wise use of resources.
Using resources wisely starts with making use, first and foremost, of everything that can be reused as it is. Using existing materials reduces the amount of waste and saves the natural resources needed to manufacture new products. Promoting reuse is a key part of our work on every demolition project.
Industrial demolition constantly produces usable machines and equipment, some of which we store and sell for reuse. Reusing machines and equipment also gives our clients cost-effective alternatives to buying new ones.
Building demolition produces reusable building materials and components, such as windows, doors, stairs and various fixtures. These materials can be carefully dismantled and used as they are in new building projects.
Most demolition materials can be recycled into raw materials for the future. Our aim is to maximise the recovery rate of every demolition project – in other words, to minimise the amount of waste that goes to final disposal.
We carry out all our demolition work with on-site sorting, which means that we sort all demolition materials into separate fractions as the work progresses. We deliver the sorted fractions from our sites to an appropriate recovery destination for each fraction.
Demolition with on-site sorting also keeps the site clean and orderly, which makes the work more efficient and reduces the risk of occupational accidents.
Although our recovery rate already exceeds 99%, we still see potential to develop the reuse of demolition materials, such as concrete, that could not previously be used as they are.
In 2023, we took part in the pioneering ReCreate project coordinated by Tampere University, which studied dismantling precast concrete elements intact from demolition sites and reusing them in new building projects. The results have been promising and suggest that the quality and condition of used precast concrete elements make it possible to reuse them in new construction projects.
Contact us in whatever way suits you best and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Our experienced project managers are there to support you, even if your demolition project is still on the drawing board.
