A safe site for everyone

Our goal is that not a single accident happens. A core value at Umacon is to guarantee a safe environment both for our employees and for everyone near our demolition sites. Our aim is that everyone stays safe on site and goes home healthy.

Health and safety is built above all on continuous training and on the commitment of all our staff to maintaining safety, because site safety comes from everyday practices in which everyone knows the safety rules and takes responsibility for their own safety and that of others.

How do we ensure safety?

  • Our employees hold health and safety, hot work and hazardous materials qualifications
  • We keep our staff’s health and safety skills up to date with regular training on different aspects of health and safety
  • We draw up a demolition safety plan alongside every demolition plan
  • We encourage everyone to report safety observations
  • We actively follow up safety observations, review them with all our staff and develop our health and safety practices based on them
  • Our ISO 45001 occupational health and safety certification shows our commitment to high safety standards

Our health and safety practices

Health and safety training

Our employees hold health and safety, hot work and hazardous materials qualifications. We provide our staff with continuous health and safety training to make sure their skills are always up to date and keep pace with the requirements of our sites.

Project-specific risk assessment

We draw up a demolition safety plan alongside every demolition plan so that we can ensure that our tools and working methods are safe. To ensure health and safety, we plan every stage of the work carefully and anticipate potential risks in advance.

Collecting safety observations

We encourage everyone to report safety deviations, positive safety observations and near misses, because open communication and reviewing observations are essential for developing a safe working environment. Every observation gives us an opportunity to learn, prevent accidents and improve the way we work even further.

Continuous improvement of health and safety

All our staff take part in developing health and safety. We actively follow up safety observations, review them with all our staff and use them to develop our health and safety instructions and the content of our continuous health and safety training. This ensures that every employee knows the current safety practices and can help to improve safety in the workplace.

Health and safety certification

Our ISO 45001 occupational health and safety certification demonstrates our commitment to a high standard of safety.
